In-Studio | Absolute Beginner Pointe with Elizabeth Gagnon

This is the perfect workshop for adult ballet dancers who have always dreamed of going on pointe.

In this class 6-week long course, you will learn all the basics of working en pointe. Starting from straightening exercises for the feet and ankles to the anatomy of a pointe shoe and working our way to safely go on pointe for the first time as an adult dancer.

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth graduated from the Professional Ballet Program at Canada’s National Ballet School in 2010. In 2012 she completed the graduate program at the English National Ballet School in London, England. Since then, she has danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, The National Ballet of Canada, and Canada’s Ballet Jörgen from 2013-2020. She is a member of Hit and Run Dance Productions and has performed at the New Blue Dance Festival, with Compagnie Kunal Ranchod, The Chimera Project and on various Canadian TV shows. She has been a freelance teacher whenever possible, spending this past 20/21 season on faculty at Goh Ballet Bayview.⁠
