Hope, heartache and betrayal cast their haze on one of the most breathtaking ballets of the Romantic period in Giselle. Learn about the supernatural beauty of the fascinating scenery, story and score by Adolphe Adam. Dance selections of the original choreography by Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot.

The workshop is open to all levels*. Gentlemen are welcome. Pointe shoes are optional
*Minimum 6 months ballet experience needed

Sarahi Cardenas

Originally from Mexico, Sarahí started her dance training at the age of eleven. She learned the foundations of ballet at the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. She also completed a year at The Rock School of Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA (USA) before graduating from high school. Since 2007, both the Ballet Metropolitano de Monterrey and the Ballet de Monterrey included Sarahí in their corps of dancers. She gained professional experience dancing in many classical ballets like Swan Lake, Giselle and The Nutcracker, as well as many other works. She was fortunate to train with renowned teachers and perform both as a soloist and and principal dancer. Sarahí joined Canada’s Ballet Jörgen for the 2015-2016 season. She is now freelancing with different projects as well as teaching.
