This intermediate/advanced contemporary phrase work class explores the principle of exhaustion of routine as a pathway to authenticity, using physical intensity to uncover genuine movement expression. Rooted in the concept of recycling energy, phrasework challenges dancers to sustain momentum and rhythm through continuity. Diving into concepts on how to redirect effort rather than stopping then restarting new movement. Through this process, participants develop a stronger sense of musicality within the body, discovering rhythm as an internal pulse that drives movement beyond counts or structure.
