C-I Training™ (conditioning-with-imagery) is a body system designed specifically for dancers. Developed by Dr. Donna Krasnow, Ph.D., C-I Training incorporates both conditioning exercises for muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility, as well as visualization and imagery work for neuromuscular re-patterning (or movement re-education), alignment work, and mind-body integration and connectedness.

Additionally, its purpose is to address problems with the transfer of training from conditioning and re-alignment methodologies to movement practices in classes, rehearsals, performances, and daily life. The applications of C-I Training can assist with injury prevention, improved training practices, and effective warm-up procedures.

Over this four-week session, dancers will be introduced to the fundamental principles of C-I Training while progressing each week to learn new exercises, stretches, imagery, and increasingly challenging variations of the work.

Natasha Poon Woo is a freelance dancer and dance educator based in Toronto and a frequent guest teacher of modern/contemporary classes at The Fifth. She has incorporated C-I Training into her dance and body care practice for over 20 years and has been a certified teacher since 2017 before going on to complete her Level 2 (Advanced) certification in 2020.
