About Helena

Helena Córdoba (born in Barcelona, Spain, 1997), is an international choreographer and visual artist. Helena started dancing at age 3 and took all the Royal Academy of Dance certified classical ballet career, apart from graduating from the professional degree of modern jazz theatre by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and being trained professionally in contemporary dance, through a competitive company in Spain. At age 19 and while she was studying multimedia engineering at college, she started teaching contemporary and lyrical dance in renown dance studios around the country, being known by her emphasis in the research of the personal essence through expressive and musically aligned movement. In 2019, Helena founded "FUSE by Messcellany", an international company specialized in the self.sufficient production of multimedia dance shows (this way, combining her major on multimedia engineering and her careers on dance). Her work rapidly started to become popular as a powerful technique for performing arts, and she started being called to design visuals and lighting for different companies, events and festivals, such as Ballet Contemporani de Catalunya or IDEAL (immersive room, Barcelona). Helena is currently working as an assistant head of visuals at the newest Big Top touring show "ECHO", by Cirque du Soleil, while she keeps directing remotely several international dance and multimedia projects.
